Delverium Trading and Coins: Copper, Silver, Gold and Shop Checks

Delverium's currency reference values one Copper Coin at 1, a Silver Coin at 100 and a Gold Coin at 10,000. Coins come from enemy drops, chests or selling items to NPCs. Identify the trader and inspect its current stock rather than treating a silver-gear shop as proof of a universal gear cap.

The reference describes automatic conversion when stacking, and splitting into smaller denominations through crafting or purchase change. Fewer coin icons can still represent the same value; compare the denomination before assuming money disappeared.

Choose a trader and transaction

  1. Recruit and house the NPC you actually found.
  2. Talk to that NPC and read the offered items and price. Forager, Blacksmith, Agronomist and Merchant are different roles.
  3. For a sale, compare the item you are giving up with your next recipe. Reserve important ore, cloth, hide and quest-related crafting materials first.
  4. Check the coin total after the transaction and account for denomination conversion.

Why does the shop only show silver equipment?

The earlier player discussion contains differing observations about shop progression. These sources do not establish a complete stock-unlock schedule or restock timer. Use crafting to pursue the next equipment tier if the current trader does not offer it, and use its actual stock instead of assuming that another player’s world has the same list.

A discovery gift is also separate from a purchase. The Merchant's Pontoon recipe reward is not unlocked just by buying more Hardwood.
