Host and Join Delverium Online Co-op
To host, open Online, choose Host New, and select your character and world. Friends can join through their Online list or an invitation sent with Invite Friend from the host's pause menu. The developer's September 27 reply also explains why a private or hidden Steam profile can make a friend's lobby absent from the list.

Host an online world
- Make sure you and the players joining are Steam friends.
- In Delverium, open Online and choose Host New.
- Select your character and world, then enter the hosted game.
- Have your friend check Online for your lobby. Alternatively, open the pause menu and use Invite Friend.
Join a friend's game
Open Online while your friend is hosting and choose the friend's lobby, or accept the invitation they send from the game. You should end up in the same hosted world.
If the lobby is missing
First check that the host is actually in the hosted game and that you are Steam friends. Then try the host's in-game invitation. The developer notes that private or hidden Steam profiles can prevent a lobby from appearing in the list; there is no public-lobby browser described in the answer.
An invitation is a useful next attempt, not a promise to bypass every privacy or connection condition. If it still fails, record whether the list was empty or the invitation failed, plus the players' build versions, before asking for help.
Players and chat
The developer describes four-player local split-screen and up to eight players with online or mixed play. The Steam store also lists four-player split-screen and up to eight online friends. Delverium has no built-in voice or text chat in the cited September answer; use Steam or your group's usual chat alongside it.
You do not need to purchase a third-party server to follow this host-and-join procedure.
