Delverium Quick Stack Stops at a Full Stack: Workaround

If quick stack stops when a matching stack reaches 999, try leaving one matching item in each extra chest slot you want to reserve for that resource. This is a player-suggested workaround from the September 24–25 Early Access storage discussion, rather than a fix we have tested in the game.

Check whether this is your storage problem

This workaround addresses quick stack refusing to move more of an item after a matching chest stack has reached 999. It is different from a completely full chest with no space for more items.

Reserve matching slots, then retry

  1. Inspect the chest and find the full stack that matches the resource left in your inventory.
  2. Choose additional chest slots for that same resource. Following jacobellinger's suggestion, place one matching item in each of those slots.
  3. Use the game's nearby-stacking action again.
  4. Reopen the chest and compare the destination slots and inventory counts. The workaround has helped your setup only if items actually moved into the reserved slots.

Finding the stacking action

The February 2025 demo discussion identifies a button called Stack to Nearby; it also distinguishes Restock between the inventory and a chest. That is an older interface reference, so use the equivalent action visible in your current build rather than assuming an old hotkey.

If the extra slots still stay empty

Move the items manually for now and keep your existing save. Record the stack size, empty or reserved destination slots, and current build when reporting the behavior. The September discussion proposes this workaround and discusses dedicated slots, but does not establish that a future patch has already fixed it.
