Delverium Split-Screen Co-op: Local and Mixed Session Setup
The current full-game listing supports up to four players on one PC. The community starting guide distinguishes Start for solo/local sessions from Online for hosted or joined online sessions; the official multiplayer update documents mixed split-screen and online play.

Choose local or mixed play
| Group | Starting choice | Limit to check |
|---|---|---|
| Players on one PC | Start / local session | Up to four local players |
| Remote Steam friends | Online / host or join | Up to eight total online players |
| Local players plus remote friends | Online mixed-session route | Local seats are not eight extra players |
Use the same game edition and update across the group. A demo character import does not establish demo/full-game multiplayer compatibility.
Prepare a local session
- Connect the local controllers before choosing the session.
- Open Start and load or create the intended character and world.
- Use the join prompt shown by the installed build for each extra local player, then choose their character. These sources do not establish one universal join-button label for every controller.
- Before exploring, have each player move and use an action. Confirm that one controller is not driving multiple characters.
- Record which PC and world hold the session so the group returns to the same world.
If players or actions are duplicated
Use the Xbox/Steam Input workaround for repeated actions, and Control Options for a binding/cursor problem. The false-detection workaround disables gamepad input and is intended for unrelated peripherals; it is not the first choice for a four-controller local party.
Add remote friends to the same world
Use the host's Online invitation flow, then check the total player count and that each local and remote participant reaches the same world. The host stores the world; a guest carrying a character into the session does not turn that guest PC into its world host. Lodestone is a separate direct-IP route, not required for normal Steam co-op.
