Delverium Fishing Guide: Bait, Fishing Power and Water Types

Use a fishing tool at a body of water with bait in your inventory. Rod power and bait power combine, and the community fishing table gives different catch pools for ocean, river, pond, swamp and cave water. Choose the water type for your target before repeatedly fishing the same spot.

Prepare the tool and bait

  1. Put a fishing tool on your hotbar and keep bait available in the inventory. The developer's June fishing introduction describes crafting the tool, collecting bait and casting into water.
  2. Use the fishing action shown by your current control binding. Follow the game's catch prompts; this reference does not establish a universal keyboard timing sequence.
  3. Check the caught item in your inventory. If you need a particular ingredient, compare it with the water table below.

Match the water to your target

The catch pools also include ordinary materials and footwear, so fishing up an unwanted item does not by itself show that the spot is broken. An older player claim that all catches occur in all water is broader than this itemised reference; use the target-specific table for this guide.

Improve fishing power before changing everything else

The tools table lists Fishing Pole at 0 power and Fishing Rod at 10. Total power adds the bait's contribution. Higher power generally favours rarer catches; the fishing reference shows rare entries changing weight across power 5–15. A listed weight is not a percentage or a guaranteed number of casts.

For the rod upgrade, the Hardwood recipe reference lists 2 Hardwood, 2 Iron Bars and 8 Twine at a Hardwood Workbench. Use the right axe and check the station if that recipe is missing.

Turn the catch into your intended result

For a missing dish, compare all ingredients in the Seafood Platter checklist. For a weapon, use the fishing weapon and upgrade guide. Keep water type, tool, bait and game version when reporting unusual catches; this page does not predict a guaranteed catch time.
