Where to Find Gold Ore and Craft Gold Bars in Delverium

Updated October 3, 2026 · Delverium Guide

The community Gold Ore reference lists Gold Nodes and Tech Gold Nodes in the Underworld and Fault Layers. Its recipe table gives 4 Gold Ore for a Gold Bar at a Silver Furnace. Search the matching deeper layer and distinguish the upgraded furnace from the basic one.

Search the named deeper layers

1. Confirm which layer you reached. The Gold Ore reference names Underworld and Fault Layers; early copper caves are not its listed source.
2. Look for Gold Nodes or Tech Gold Nodes and use a pick on them.
3. Check that the collected item is Gold Ore rather than another late-game material.
4. If access to the deeper route is the obstacle, use the progression clue guide and later-stair advice.

Use the upgraded furnace

The Used In table lists Gold Bar = 4 Gold Ore at a Silver Furnace. Stand near that station, keep the ore available and craft from the player list. A basic Furnace that worked for Copper or Silver Bars is not the station named for this recipe.

The source page's introductory sentence mistakenly says obsidian bars, while its named item and recipe table say Gold Bar. This guide follows the explicit Gold Bar row rather than repeating that conflicting sentence. Compare the current in-game recipe if your build differs.

What the gold is for

The Deadwood reference lists Gold Pick, Axe, Hoe and Hammer recipes using 4 Deadwood and 4 Gold Bars at an Obsidian Anvil. That is a later equipment goal, not proof that a Gold Pick is required to obtain your first Gold Ore.

If mining or crafting fails

For a node that will not break, check that you selected a pick and inspect its resource tier. The source does not establish the minimum pick for Gold, so this page does not invent one. For a missing or red bar recipe, check Silver Furnace proximity and ingredients first. Record the node/item, station and build if reporting a difference.
