Delverium Journey Shrines: Fast Travel and Search Clues

Activate the nearby starting Journey Shrine and discover others to build a fast-travel network. The developer's September advice describes eight surface shrines plus deeper ones, with clues near Deadwoods, the swamps and the islands. These are region clues for a procedural world, not a universal coordinate map.

Create the first useful return destination

  1. Find and activate the nearby starting Journey Shrine, as the community Getting Started reference advises.
  2. Build a valid shelter and organise supplies near a useful return route.
  3. When exploring, activate newly found shrines and use the available travel destination options.
  4. After travelling, confirm the intended region before starting the next cave run.
AreaSeptember developer clue
SurfaceEight shrines in the described build.
DeadwoodsOne near its start.
SwampsThree surrounding them.
IslandsAnother near the end of the island area.
Deeper levelsAdditional hidden shrines; the Underworld reply describes activating more for a faster return.

The discussion does not enumerate every coordinate or guarantee that an online seed map matches your world. Use the region clues and your discovered terrain rather than restarting because a shrine is not at another player's screenshot location.

A shrine is not the boss condition

The October 1 developer progression answer says defeating the first main progression boss unlocks onward stairs and a Journey Shrine route to the swamp. Finding a shrine elsewhere is not proof you completed that boss. Use the lore-marker and first-boss route when the locked stair is the real obstacle.

For an immediate return to spawn

The Teleport Potion has a different target: the last spawn point. Choose the shrine network for an available travel destination and the potion for its documented home-return task. This page does not establish that shrines can be moved with a hammer or built from a recipe.
