Delverium Crafting Guide: Recipes, Colours and Nested Crafting
Open the crafting list while near the required station. You need an unlocked recipe and enough ingredients, either carried or in accessible nearby chests. Blue ingredients can be made through nested crafting, but every station needed by the intermediate recipes must also be nearby.

Read the ingredient colour first
| Colour | Meaning in the community reference | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| White | The ingredient is available. | Check the remaining ingredients and station. |
| Red | The required amount is missing. | Gather it or move it into accessible storage. |
| Blue | An intermediate ingredient can be crafted from the base materials you have. | Keep its station in range as well. |
Use a nested recipe without pre-making every part
- Choose the final item and inspect its ingredient list.
- Keep the raw materials available. For example, the crafting reference describes copper ore being turned into bars as part of making a copper sword.
- Stand within range of the furnace and the final item's required station. Nested crafting does not remove either station requirement.
- Craft from the list, then check for the finished item and the corresponding reduction in raw materials.
Separate station range from chest range
The station reference gives a five-tile access range. Official v0.1.0.1 increased chest restock, stack and crafting range to ten tiles. Those are different distances: moving a chest closer does not necessarily bring the furnace into range. Arrange the stations around the crafting position, then place ingredient storage within its own range.
A chest another player is currently using is not an available ingredient source according to the community crafting reference. Ask them to close it or carry the ingredients yourself before treating the recipe as broken.
If the recipe is absent rather than red
Check its unlock and station first. Some rewards, such as pontoons, require a discovery gift. More raw material cannot replace that unlock. Use the station progression table to distinguish a basic station from the upgrade required by a later recipe.
