Delverium Crafting from Chests: Ten-Tile Range and Co-op Checks

Official v0.1.0.1 increased chest restock, stack and crafting range to ten tiles. The community crafting reference says a chest another player currently has open cannot supply crafting ingredients. Keep station range separate: the station reference still gives five tiles.

Test the ingredient source first

  1. Choose the recipe and stand beside its required station.
  2. Move the exact ingredients into your inventory for one attempt.
  3. If that works, put them back into the nearby chest and try from the same crafting position.
  4. Ask another player to close the chest before repeating the chest-based attempt.

This comparison separates storage access from a recipe, unlock or station problem. If inventory-based crafting also fails, moving the chest around is unlikely to solve the only cause.

Keep the two distances distinct

The old crafting article's five-tile chest value predates the official increase. Start close enough to remove distance uncertainty, then expand the workshop layout. These sources do not document the exact geometric edge test for a diagonal chest.

Remember intermediate stations

A blue ingredient can be nested from raw materials, but the furnace or other intermediate station must also be available. Chest range does not let a distant furnace smelt bars for a nearby anvil. Compare the ingredient colours and station families.

If quick stack is the symptom

A matching 999 stack stopping further movement has its own player workaround. Crafting availability and reserved storage slots are different checks. When reporting a difference, include the item, player/chest position, open-chest state, stations and build rather than just saying the whole storage system is broken.
