Delverium v0.1.0.3: Torch, Spawn, Flooring and Mana Changes
v0.1.0.3 strengthens torch suppression, allows underground flooring/torches, restores a roughly 10% floor movement buff and fixes mana after sleeping or death. It also changes enemy spawn balancing and the Necromancer spawn cap. Match your guide to the installed build before comparing old player reports.

What to change in your current run
| Official change | Practical action |
|---|---|
| Standard Torch suppression 20% → 25%; range 5 → 6 tiles | Review your base's coverage using the current torch guide. |
| Quartz Torch 50%; coloured crystal torches 75% | Compare the new torch type with your available recipe and materials. |
| Biome torch modifiers updated | Do not apply the same basic-torch effect to Plains, Woodlands and Labyrinth. |
| Flooring and torches can be placed underground | Build a useful return path rather than following an older placement restriction. |
| Floor movement buff fixed to around 10% | Re-evaluate paths that previously gave no buff. |
| Mana reset after sleep/death fixed | Update before treating that symptom as a character penalty. |
| Necromancer maximum spawn chance 10% → 12.5% | Use the current cap; it is not a loot-drop percentage. |
Why encounter reports can differ
The patch counts recently killed nearby enemies toward a decaying soft cap, scales the effect by distance, and softens group spawning when nearby counts exceed part of the hard cap. It also adjusts some aggro and later-game spawn behaviour. These changes explain why a dated report need not reproduce exactly; they do not supply a universal enemies-per-minute figure.
The minimum boss despawn cooldown changed from 120 to 60 seconds, while the destroyed cooldown remains 120. That is distinct from a guaranteed boss spawn timer or a fixed number of kills.
Keep earlier changes when they still apply
v0.1.0.1 increased chest crafting/stack/restock range to ten tiles. v0.1.0.2 added fishing weapons, changed Liche progression values and included the NPC respawn fix with manual room reassignment for affected old saves. The latest patch does not erase those earlier changes.
Use the task-specific guide next
For base pressure, use torch suppression. For paths, use underground floors. For an enemy goal, use Necromancers or Liche. This page records the patch observed on October 3, not a promise of continuous automatic update tracking.
