How to Find Copper Ore and Make Copper Bars in Delverium

The community Copper Ore reference places copper nodes commonly in first-level dungeons. The tools reference says the starting Wood Pick can mine copper. A Copper Bar uses 4 Copper Ore at a Furnace; stand nearby and craft through the player list rather than looking for a smelting window.

Make a short copper-mining trip

  1. Explore the first cave/dungeon layer rather than searching deeper regions for a basic copper supply.
  2. Select a pick on the hotbar and mine a copper node. The starting Wood Pick is listed as sufficient for copper; an axe or hammer does a different job.
  3. Check the Copper Ore stack in the inventory. Count raw ore separately from finished Copper Bars.
  4. Return to your crafting area before filling the inventory with material you cannot yet use.

Turn the ore into the item your recipe needs

The Cookpot consumes bars, so two bars normally require eight raw copper using the listed bar recipe. That arithmetic does not include the materials for building your furnace or workbench.

If the bar recipe does not work

Stand beside the furnace, open the crafting list and inspect the ingredient state. If the ore is in a chest, check its range and whether another player has it open. A later item may use nested bars while also requiring an anvil or workbench; the furnace alone does not supply every station.

Other routes and the next ore

The community fishing table also lists small copper catches in rivers and ponds. That is a possible catch, not a predictable replacement for mining a visible node. For later progression, use the iron guide or silver guide rather than assuming every metal is found on the copper layer.
