How to Use a Furnace in Delverium

The community crafting guide says you craft through the crafting menu while near the required station; you do not have to interact with the furnace itself. Check recipe discovery, enough ingredients and all stations needed by nested ingredients. The September 23 patch increased chest restock/stack/craft range to 10 tiles, superseding the old wiki’s five-tile chest claim.

Use the menu while standing beside the furnace

1. Stand next to the placed furnace to remove distance as the first variable.
2. Open the game's crafting list and inspect the recipe you want. The wiki explains that a station makes recipes available by proximity, rather than requiring direct interaction with that station.
3. Check that the recipe has been discovered and that its ingredients are available. For the reference Iron Bar recipe, the material page lists four Iron Ore.
4. Craft and check the resulting item or the ingredient count. If crafting a larger item, inspect whether its bars are being made automatically as nested ingredients.

Separate box distance from station distance

The old crafting page gives a five-tile chest range. Official September 23 notes increased chest restock/stack/craft range to ten tiles. That chest change does not establish a new furnace-station radius. Stand beside the station first, then inspect nearby storage separately.

The wiki also says crafting cannot draw ingredients from a chest another player is currently using. Ask them to close it, or move the needed ingredients into your inventory to isolate that cause. Nested recipes can need another station as well as the furnace.

If the recipe still stays unavailable

Record the recipe name, ingredient state, stations and build. An absent recipe and an ingredient shortage are different symptoms; do not keep clicking the furnace as though both imply a broken smelting window.
