Delverium Underground Flooring: Placement and Movement Bonus
Official v0.1.0.3 made all flooring and torches placeable underground and fixed the broken flooring movement buff to around 10%. Update the game, select a flooring item or its recipe, and place it on a valid underground tile. Earlier build restrictions are no longer the right baseline for this patch.

Check the version before rebuilding
The underground placement flag and flooring change are explicit v0.1.0.3 additions. If an older guide says flooring cannot be placed underground, first compare its date with your game build. The new flag does not mean every kind of furniture can be placed everywhere.
Lay a usable route
- Choose an underground route you actually use, such as the path between an entrance, crafting area and a discovered shrine.
- Select flooring from the hotbar or its craft-and-place recipe. Keep the materials and any required station available.
- Point at a valid tile and inspect the placement marker before using the primary action.
- Walk over the placed floor and check the route. The official note describes a buff of around 10%, not an exact speed benchmark for every loadout.
- Use a hammer if you need to remove or change the placement.
Plan lighting for the route's purpose
Torches are also underground-placeable in this patch and reduce nearby spawn attempts. That is useful for a return corridor, but it can conflict with an area where you deliberately want enemies to spawn. Keep a lit travel route distinct from a Necromancer farming area; do not expect torches to remove enemies already present.
If the tile is rejected
Check that the game is updated, the selected item is flooring, the target is valid and the crafting materials are available. A red cursor or missing ingredient can be a different cause from the old underground restriction. The building guide explains cursor modes and marker states.
The patch does not establish that floor speed stacks additively with every potion or armour bonus. Use the individual item descriptions rather than calculating an unsupported total speed.
