Delverium Recipes Not Unlocking? Bars, Tools and Boss Armour

Most weapon and armour recipes require crafting or discovering their refined bar, not simply collecting ore. Craft a bar, carry it in inventory and reopen crafting near the required station. Special boss armour also requires defeating the corresponding boss. Some tools unlock from ore and can automatically make a bar, which explains why an axe can appear before the rest of its equipment tier.

Is the recipe missing, or visible but red?

An absent recipe and an unaffordable recipe have different causes. If the item appears with red ingredients, you have discovered it: check quantities and access to materials. If it does not appear at all, check discovery before collecting more ore.

Make the bar, then reopen crafting

1. Identify the refined material for the equipment you want. Ore and its bar are different discovery items.
2. Use the appropriate smelting station to craft a bar, and carry the result in your inventory. For Opal, the published recipe is four Opal at a Silver Furnace.
3. Reopen the crafting list near the equipment's required station. Check whether the weapon or armour recipe now appears.
4. If it appears, read its remaining materials and quantities. Discovery does not supply cloth, wool or other ingredients for free.

The October 6 developer reply explains that most armours and weapons require crafting or discovering the bar. Some tools are exceptions: finding ore can reveal their recipe, and making that tool can automatically craft a bar and discover further equipment. A visible axe therefore does not prove every item using that ore is already unlocked.

Boss armour has a second requirement

The developer also confirms that special boss armour needs both the corresponding boss defeat and bar discovery. You may be able to make bars from ordinary enemies and craft relevant tools before defeating the boss. Having those materials alone does not remove the boss requirement.

Use the lore and progression route if you have not found the encounter. This reply does not provide a complete boss-to-armour unlock table; do not assume defeating any unrelated boss satisfies it.

Why nested crafting did not reveal the recipe

Nested crafting can create intermediate components for a recipe you can select. It does not mean an undiscovered final recipe must already appear. The player who reported missing Opal equipment found that making bars and bringing them into inventory revealed recipes; the developer confirmed the discovery distinction.

After discovery, check the ingredient colours and nested-crafting rules. For materials stored nearby, distinguish chest access from station access using the crafting-from-chests checklist.

If the recipe still does not appear

• Confirm you made the correct bar, not a similarly named fragment or raw ore.
• Check the required station and stand within its access range; carry ingredients directly to isolate a storage problem.
• For special boss armour, confirm the relevant encounter has been completed.
• Record the item name, bar discovered, station, boss progress and installed version if it remains missing.

The developer describes a current progression rule, not a patch that already changes it. This answer does not establish a requirement to craft every earlier armour tier, a drop-and-pick-up reset, or a guaranteed restart fix.
