Mine silica nodes near coastlines with a pick, then smelt 2 Silica Ore into a Glass Brick at a Furnace. Glass is used by windows and magic-weapon recipes; it is not Copper Ore, Quartz Crystal or a mined finished brick.

Find the coastline nodes
- Explore coastline tiles and look for silica nodes.
- Equip a pick, mine the node and check for the Silica Ore stack.
- Return to a Furnace with at least two ore available.
- Choose Glass Brick while within station range and confirm that you receive the finished material.
The source establishes the location and tool family, but no exact seed coordinate or required higher pick tier.
Reserve glass for the next recipe
Fireball, Spirit, Gloom and Soul Staff recipes in this collection each require 2 Glass Bricks. Making those bricks requires 4 Silica Ore in total, alongside the staff's other ingredients and station. The Glass Brick page also records Stone Window as 1 Stone plus 1 Glass Brick at a Workbench.
If a recipe still stays red
Distinguish ore from finished glass and check nearby stations. Nested crafting can make an intermediate only if its materials and station are accessible. Being beside a Workbench for the finished item does not replace the Furnace used by its glass component. Move the workshop or craft the bricks first, then check the finished item again.
