Delverium Cows: Where to Find Them, Capture Them and Get Hide
Search the northern islands for cows, catch one with a Small Net if you want to bring it home, and prepare a valid pen before placing it. Killing a cow supplies Cow Hide. Milk appears in the community material list, but that list does not supply a cow-production timer or a calf recipe.

Find and transport a cow
- Explore the northern islands: this is the developer's answer to the September 24 cow-hide question.
- Put a Small Net on your hotbar and approach a cow. The tools reference includes cows among catchable animals.
- Capture the cow for transport, then check that it appears in your inventory before returning home.
- Build the fenced pen and water trough first; place the animal inside the valid enclosure.
This route separates finding a cow from immediately killing it. If your goal is collecting hide for equipment, decide how many animals to keep before harvesting.
Cow Hide is a separate output
The player answer says killing cows provides hide, and the developer confirms the cow-search advice. Capture is useful for relocating an animal; it is not itself a hide drop. Use the Cow Hide guide and the Fault Armour material checklist to decide what you actually need.
Milk and breeding questions
Milk is named in the community Materials page. The Farming page documents mature animals producing items or young in a valid pen, but its explicit breeding examples are chickens and sheep; it does not give a cow-specific interval, required partner count or calf item. Keep a cow alive if your aim is ongoing produce, inspect the pen's validity and collect any output you actually see. Do not kill it expecting that to be the documented milk action.
For a pen that produces nothing, first fix fencing, trough and enclosure size. A quoted two-animal rule, guaranteed milk-per-day figure or chicken hatching procedure would go beyond these sources.
