Delverium Melee Build: Weapon, Armour and Survival Priorities

A practical melee loadout pairs a reachable sword with real armour-slot defence, food recovery and enough movement to disengage. Crab Armour's recorded full-set bonus is +15% melee damage; Flutter Armour is a movement alternative. This is a planning recommendation, not a universal best-build claim.

Build a reachable loadout

  1. Replace the starting resource tool with a weapon for combat. Copper and Iron Swords are early metalwork choices.
  2. Equip the armour in the main equipment slots, not the cosmetic slots.
  3. Carry food that restores health and a route back to a safe room or shrine.
  4. Choose your next upgrade according to the failing attempt: survivability first if you cannot stay alive long enough to attack.

Choose the bonus for your obstacle

SetRecorded full-set effectPlanning use
Copper or IronDefence +2An accessible defence route
CrabMelee damage +15%More melee damage once its materials are reachable
FlutterMove speed +15%A mobility alternative
FragmentAttack speed +12.5%An attack-speed alternative

A set bonus is different from each piece's stats. Match the set before relying on the listed bonus; this table does not establish stacking or the best combined DPS.

Prepare an attempt

Use recovery food for health and consider a sourced Dexterity Potion for temporary attack speed. Our combat recommendation is to attack when the enemy leaves a usable opening, then make space before the next exchange. If you take repeated contact damage, gaining movement room may help more than another small damage upgrade.

For Untouchable, the achievement's clean melee streak is a separate objective from winning a difficult boss fight. Do not infer that an active potion or high personal kill total satisfies the no-damage condition.
