Gloom Essence occasionally drops from Wraiths. Gloom Staff uses 4 Wood, 4 Iron Bars, 2 Glass Bricks and 4 Gloom Essence at a Stone Anvil. It is different from Ghost-dropped Spirit Essence, Ectoplasm and Lost Soul-dropped Soul Essence.

Farm the intended material

Choose Wraiths when your ingredient is Gloom Essence. The item reference gives an occasional drop, not a guaranteed result or a precise farming interval. Read the picked-up stack before counting the run as complete; similar essence names have distinct recipes.

Budget a Gloom Staff

The specific staff recipe includes Wood; its abbreviated generic material row does not. Use the named weapon recipe and your current card for the finished item.

Supply mana after crafting

The item page records 15 attack damage, an area value of 2 and mana use of 7. Those values describe the weapon snapshot, not a guaranteed DPS outcome. Equip it on the hotbar and keep mana recovery available. If a fight exhausts mana before it ends, consider recovery and regeneration equipment rather than assuming the weapon was crafted incorrectly.
